I have noticed that it might be difficult for teachers to understand the resulting availability status of hidden sections with stealth activities and would like to propose this improvement:
Steps to reproduce
- Login as teacher
- Go to a course
- Turn editing on
- Add two activities A and B to a section
- Hide the section
- Open the context menu of activity A and click "Make available"
Actual result:
- The section will have a label saying "Hidden from students"
- Activity B will be shown with grey text (which indicates that it is not available), but it will not have any label
- Activity A will be shown with blue text (which indicates that it is available) and will have a label saying "Available but not shown on course page"
Expected result:
- The section will have a label saying "Section hidden from students, section content partly available"
- Activity B will be shown with grey text (which indicates that it is not available) and will have a label saying "Not available to students"
- Activity A will be shown with blue text (which indicates that it is available) and will have a label saying "Available but not shown on course page"
