Moodle Academy, which launched in mid August 2021, will offer courses in multiple languages. Two plugins are currently used to enable courses to be translated on  the Moodle Educator Certification (MEC) site, without the need to duplicate the course. Duplicating courses for translation purposes means these courses quickly become out of date, so it is something we want to avoid. There are multiple issues with the current translation plugins, which we would like resolved before they are installed on Moodle Academy.

We aim to resolve the most problematic issues being experienced by those translating our MEC  courses, so we can install the updated plugins on Moodle Academy (with these issues resolved) and begin to translate our Moodle Academy courses into multiple languages.

On the Moodle Educator Certification (MEC) site, Moodle partners are granted access to the translation tool, and use it to translate content into their local language.

The two translation plugins that are used are these (although these versions are out of date):

• Filter: Full Translate
