At the moment we have a small 'hack' to make http://hub.moodle.org look like https://moodle.net

This split personality is not good long term, but also we haven't updated the moodle core side to point to the right place yet..

So I think we should:

1. Update the links in moodle core to use moodle.net
2. Retire the split personality moodle and replace it with a single small script which proxies the registrations to moodle.net
