Setup:

• I have a course set to Topic format, 1 section per page.
• Each section has a quiz.
• The quiz has a grade to pass.
• Activity completion is set to "Student must receive a grade to complete this activity" but NOT a passing grade.

On the course summary page, I see the resources, activities and progress text as follows:

• Quiz: 1 Progress: 0/1
• If the student takes the quiz and passes, Progress: 1/1
• If the student takes the quiz and fails, Progress: 0/1

On the section page, I see the following:

• If the student takes the quiz and passes, the progress checkbox is ticked
• If the student takes the quiz and fails, the checkbox shows a red x.

This means that the quiz activity completion is working, and the section page is displaying the correct information.  The course summary page is not.

It is worth noting that this issue appears to be the same as MDL-43821 which was closed for a previous Moodle version.
