Login as admin

Create a new user

Navigate to Messaging > Messaging settings in site administration

Enable Allow site-wide messaging

Open messaging drawer

Search for new user

Send them a message

Open the 3-dot menu for the user

Press Add to contacts and confirm the subsequent dialogue

Confirm you see the "Contact request sent" message

The "Contact request send" message is not displayed when it's sent after sending a message.

Steps to reproduce:

Login as admin
Go to "Site administration / Messaging / Messaging settings" and enable "Allow site-wide messaging"
Open the message drawer and search for any non-contact user
Click any of the non-contact users in the search results
Send a message
Click the 3-dot menu right of the heading showing user s1
Click add to contacts
On the confirmation dialogue click Add

Expected behaviour: The "Contact request send" message should be displayed

Current behaviour: The "Contact request send" message is not displayed (it still has the "hidden" class).
