As previously discussed in MDL-39922 a badge can be thought of as a mini certificate, but in the spirit of xbox/PS/gaming badges one user can only earn one instance of a badge. The only issue that this brings up is that these badges, like certificates can have expiration dates.

What would be amazingly useful is to be able to either issue multiple instances of the same badges (not really stamp collecting but renewing a certificate) or be able to update the expiration date of the badge so that it reflects the idea of a mini certificate better.
