Create a new cohort and add 2 users to it

Create a new course

Enable the enrolment method Cohort sync and select the cohort previously created

Make sure both users are enrolled in the course

Remove one of the users from the cohort

Make sure it is NOT enrolled in the course

Re-add the users to the cohort

Make sure it IS enrolled in the course

Delete the cohort

Make sure none of the users are enrolled in the course
