The "Sum of Grades" aggregation method is not correctly calculating total grades when "Aggregate Non-empty Grades" is checked for categories or the entire course. It is still counting those items and replacing the blanks with zeros. So, for example, if my course has 10 assignments worth 10 points each, and a student has received full credit for both, the running total for that student should say "20/20" rather than "20/100" when "Aggregate Non-Empty Grades" is selected. However, the latter is what is showing up in the gradebook.
