an image/media file cannot be updated if it is stored in the "private files" folder and linked to an html file.
To duplicate:
-Create 2 html files with a link to one and same file (image/image01.png)
-Create the afore said folder and image file
-Upload all to "my private files" folder
-create 2 "ressources" from the main course page and select the html files in your "my private files" folder (one at a time, for each ressource _excuse me if im am being over explicit, my daughter hates me for that
In order for us to update both html files at once, we will not COPY the "image folder" but we will make an ALIAS of the file into a folder called "image" into the "CONTENT frame of the ressource" edit page.
Everything work fine so far. Your image should be displayed in your both files.
NOW...
Retrun to the "My Private Files" folder
Try to update the image in your image folder.
YOu will see two interesting things:
- a small chain telling you the image is linked to two files (that is excellent, by the way)
-a small "update" button that lets you think it's possible to update the file anyway (which sounds reasonable)
But i deos not instead you get:
"Coding error detected, it must be fixed by a programmer: PHP catchable fatal error"
It would be nice if it did, and if it could be updated while being pointed at by several html files.
This is definitevely a blocker.
Thanks for your help.
By the way, if it could fork for whole folders instead of just file-per-file it would be even better...
Thanks for your kind attention and patience
