MOODLE_19_STABLE
The ability to provide extended time for particular students or to provide scheduling exceptions for particular students has been echoed at various times in the forums. This will likely require some changes to the database; however, I think it would be well worth it given the frequency with which this topic arises.
I have categorized this as a both belonging to Quiz and Accessibility since the addition of this feature would allow for teachers to better meet the needs of their students whether it be students with accessibility issues or from working in a second language. As such, I have prioritized this as major.
There are many reasons why a teacher might like to provide exceptions for a quiz. I would envision a special interface that would allow the teacher to manage time exceptions. They are able to select the student(s) and set alternative dates/times and/or time limits. For example, student3 should be given 15 minutes on a 10 minute time limited quiz. Student 2 should be allowed to open and close the quiz a day later than the default for the other students. There are various scenarios that I think could be handled by this and it would then simply be a matter of checking for exceptions when the student goes to start the attempt. I know that Tim had done some work a little while back on cleaning up the code for attempts. I would be interested in comments, suggestions, etc.
