Overview

With the large number of activities available in Moodle the current experience can be overwhelming, particularly for new users.  

Objectives

• Research how might we make this experience make more sense to all users
• Consider classification and grouping of activity types
• Consider how we can explain more to users how activities might be used

Design work for this has been finalised and will be thin sliced for delivery over the 5.x series of releases  Updates to come on what will be targeted for each release.

Community feed back has been sought and MVP designs finalised, with a targeted delivery for Moodle 5.1.  This will not be the complete implementation as several technical hurdles have been uncovered during the technical discovery including improvements needed to the translation subsystems and some technical debt removal.  Further improvements will be delivered later in the 5.X series
