1) Use a moodle site that is setup to use the www. prefix on the URL.
2) Enter the URL without the www.
3) Enter the username and password.
4) You'll be told "A required parameter (username) was missing"

That will confuse students to no end.

Tested with Moodle 2.7.1 and Moodle Mobile 1.6 for Android.
