There are some situations where changing a route causes a glitch in the header buttons. For example, in a site with home and dashboard, changing from one to another for the first time causes a glitch where the search icon is duplicated for a moment.

A deeper problem, which may or may not be related to this, is that the implementation of core-navbar-buttons is messing with the DOM, and that may cause some conflicts with Angular rendering.
