Actually when we are in a course on the "user page" (don't know how it's called in an app), we can go on each user and have the choice to send a Moodle Message or an email (so one by one user)

We can also send a Moodle Message to a "group" (so many users in a course). But i haven't seen a way to send a mail to a group, so I think it could be an useful improvement to be able to do it

May be with it could be something looking like the "user page" functionality, we could have a "group page" and after choosing one group, get the same choice as when we choose a user : moodle message or email  (and eventually to give more info also display which users are in the selected group)

I would have like to try to help at least a little by providing some code, but I have no idea how it's working and the doc seems to say the previous doc is deprecated :-/ (but may work ?)
