Moodle Desktop app corrupts mobile/data.js

XMLWordPrintable

    • MOODLE_35_STABLE

Some Storyline SCORM modules fail to load in the desktop app (multiple Win 10 machines). When the SCORM package is downloaded and extracted, we receive the following message:

"moodledesktop - Error loading story_content/data.xml: error"

When we inspected the SCORM files in the application's local filepool, it seems that mobile/data.js is corrupted. Once we replace the file with the original, the desktop app can launch the module ok.

All our modules work fine in a number of browsers as well as the mobile app. Only some of the modules experience this issue and we cannot identify the element that differentiates them (it is a slight majority of our modules, and it is always the same set of modules that experience this issue when tested on multiple different devices).

Please let me know if any clarification is required.
      Kind Regards,
      Martin
