Go to Messages and click on the search box.

Check that the bottom tab bar is hidden and there's no padding at the top of the keyboard.

Go to Messages > Contacts and click on the search box.

Check that the bottom tab bar is hidden and there's no padding at the top of the keyboard.

Go to messages and open a discussion.

Click the text input on the bottom to open the keyboard.

Check that the bottom tab bar is hidden and there's no padding at the top of the keyboard.

Go to a chat activity and repeat steps 6 and 7.

In the search box of messages and contacts, an empty padding is displayed above the keyboard while typing. This is similar to bug ~~MOBILE-2457~~.
