In the Mobile forum, I can see to reccurent issues:

• Cannot connect to Moodle, 2.1+ required
• XML-RPC Parser error

http://docs.moodle.org/22/en/Mobile_Moodle_FAQ should list these common errors. For each of them list the different causes and the checks that the user/admin need to do to resolve them.
