I suppose the app could check that the full name or the email address already exist. If it exists then the app displayed:

• the fullname already exist in the address book
• the email address already exist in the
• maybe offer the possibility to merge additional information (the Moodle app knows about city but it is empty in the phone contact, so the app merge info.)
