When there is a large volume of requests to update site registrations, the server becomes overwhelmed and is unable to handle additional requests, causing it to go down. This may be because each request includes a check to see if the remote site is operational, which takes about 1 minute. As an initial measure, we are decreasing the connection timeouts.
