These changes were agreed in the Moodle 3.3 QA retrospective, affecting to the MDLQA Workflow and to be applied before 3.4.
A- When a MDLQA test is reset, the assignee should not be changed to "Unassigned" to give the tester the chance/encourage of running the test again. There are 3 transitions to "Open" right now in the workflow:
- Failed => Reset (after a fix or clarification, the test must be run again).
- Passed => Reset (to run an already passed test again).
- Obsolete => Reset (un-obsolencing a test, to be run).
This point is about to keep the assignee (tester) or the issue for the 1st case only. The 2nd and 3rd are assumed to be correct "brand-new" runs of the test.
B- Both when passing and failing a MDLQA issue, the user should be asked to add a comment with information, specially important on failures.
C- The 2 points above should be clarified, mentioned in the QA guide (docs).
