Apart from the 2 previous subtasks (MDLSITE-2048 and MDLSITE-2049), we need to review all the remaining cron-ed scripts @ download.moodle.org and what they are using, to move any CVS-dependency to git.

Once again, like in the other 2 sister-subtasks, surely there will be 2 ways to achieve that:

1) Modify any use of /moodle/stableXX (CVS based) to git alternative.
2) Keep the /moodle/stableXX directories updated from latest packages.

This ALSO needs to verify that all the code right now under cvs/contrib being used by download.moodle.org is moved to a git-based alternative. Surely a good moment to also have copies of all the stuff deployed @ download.moodle.org under git control. Consider it.
