With the Single activity course format now supporting the "Additional activities" block (MDL-85433), and in preparation for the removal of the Social course format (MDL-79916), the Social course format will be disabled by default for all Moodle instances. Existing courses using the Social format will continue to function, but it will no longer appear as an option when creating new courses. This change aims to encourage the use of the enhanced Single activity format as its replacement.
