When using Marking Workflow to grade submissions in Moodle Assignment, one of the states you can set the workflow to is 'Ready for release'.

Staff at our institution have been requesting the ability to allow grades marked as 'Ready for release' to be automatically released on a chosen date. This would help in resolving current  problems with organising annual leave.

This could potentially be implemented as an optional setting on the assignment settings page that would allow users to select a date when all submissions having a 'Ready for release' state will be automatically changed to 'Released'.
