Can we please enable course category view with enrolled courses so that end-users can navigate this way please? Right now, we only have option to enable full view (all course categories and all courses) vs. only those that are enrolled. This makes a lot of sense to use when we don't want to just display a list of enrolled courses, but want the user to use categories to navigate to their enrolled course. (just like admins do).

This seems to be a known or existing bug that I could not find logged elsewhere, which I'm hoping will get fixed soon, so I'm creating a new ticket.

      There has been a permission ( https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDLQA-13494)

that controls whether or not user can view courses in a category view (moodle/category:viewcourselist) but it does not seem to work.

As noted in both this discussion and moodle documentation on front page settings

"List of categories" and the "Combo list" do not work as expected: they are entirely hidden, when what they should do it show the users enrolled courses and categories.

Please consider fixing this - many of us are affected by this, and there are multiple threads on this very issue. Thank you in advance!
