Consider that a teacher is added to a Master Course, allowing them to use questions from the Master Course’s course-level question bank.  Consider that they add a quiz and a question from the Master Bank.  Next, let’s say this teacher is removed from the Master Course.  When they visit their quiz, the question still shows that it came from the Master course.  But when they attempt to edit it, an error message incorrectly appears (see graphic).

What probably should show is a message like, “You do not have the right to edit this question.”

The system should never show the user a link to go and do something that they do not have permission to do, so this link should not be a link.
