MOODLE_404_STABLE, MOODLE_405_STABLE
When posting a reply to a discussion in a Forum activity, the notice advising users they have 30 minutes to edit the post flashes on the screen quickly and then disappears. However, when posting a discussion itself, the notice stays on the screen without disappearing.
Suggesting to make this consistent so the notice can remain on the screen for replies in the same way as it does for new discussions. This can be replicated on sandbox.moodledemo.net
Steps to replicate
- Create a new Forum activity
- Add a Forum name, click save and display (in my testing I used 'Standard forum for general use' as the type, but I don't think it matters)
- Add a discussion topic - observe
- Log in as a test student user
- Add a reply to the discussion topic - observe
Observed:
When adding a new discussion topic, the following notice appears and stays on the screen:
When adding a reply to the existing discussion topic, the notice flashes for a second and then disappears completely:
Expected:
When adding a reply, the editing notice remains on the screen at the top of the page as for adding a discussion
