Enable and use the new Tiny editor as the preferred editor. Login as admin. Go to Site administration -> Development -> Debugging. Set Debugging mode to DEVELOPER, and set Display debug messages to Yes. Open the User menu -> Profile. Click Edit profile. Click menu Tools -> Media Manager Check "Unused files" section is displayed if not follow these sub-steps to fake data:  Upload 5 image files with filenames of ~200 characters each into the File Manager to simulate the condition. Close Media manager dialogue Click menu Tools -> Media Manager Verify that there is no error message in the Media manager dialogue
