MOODLE_405_STABLE
Description:
I'm experiencing an issue with H5P videos in the Lesson activity in Moodle 4.5+. When I use an H5P video within a Lesson and set the completion condition to "Require time spent," the system continues to count time even when the video is paused. This allows users to complete the Lesson without actually watching the video.
Detailed Description:
This appears to be a bug related to how Moodle 4.5+ and the H5P plugin interact, specifically concerning the "Require time spent" completion condition within the Lesson activity. When an H5P video is embedded in a Lesson and a user pauses the video, the system incorrectly registers this paused time as "time spent" towards the completion requirement. This means that users can simply pause the video and wait for the required time to elapse, effectively bypassing the need to actually watch the content.
Expected Behavior:
The expected behavior is that the "Require time spent" condition should only count time when the H5P video is actively playing. Paused time should not contribute towards the completion criteria.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Create a Lesson activity.
- Embed an H5P video within the Lesson.
- Set the completion condition for the Lesson to "Require time spent."
- As a student, access the Lesson and play the H5P video.
- Pause the video and leave it in the paused state.
- Observe that the system continues to count time towards the completion requirement, even though the video is paused.
