MOODLE_401_STABLE
Hello,
As mentioned in https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=457566#p1837754, in courses, the "All participants" drop-down menu lists only participants belonging to a group. With this label, teachers expect to list all participants, all the more so since another drop-down menu allows you to filter on a particular group.
To reproduce :
- Log as a teacher.
- Create a course and enroll some participants in.
- Create 2 groups and enroll all participants (students and teachers) in one or two of theses groups.
- Check Rapports > Log page. All filters are ready to list "all" (for all drop-down menus).
- Open the drop-down menu "All participants" : you should see all users enrolled in the course (teachers and students).
- Go back to participants management and remove one student and one teacher from their group(s), to make them groupless.
- Check again Rapports > Log page.
- Open the drop-down menu "All participants" : you should see a list not containing the groupless persons.
- Log as an admin.
- Open the same course the teacher used.
- Check Rapports > Log page. All filters are ready to list "all" (for all drop-down menus).
- Open the drop-down menu "All participants" : you should see the same list, which is not containing the groupless persons.
Results :
- This drop-down menu only list participants belonging to a group (or groups). If a teacher or a student is groupless, he/she won't be listed here and can't be selected to filter results (for the teacher and for an admin).
- This results is for the teacher but also for an admin.
- This results can be reproduced for "visible groups" mode and "separate groups" mode (in course parameters). No issue if in "no group" mode : all participants are listed.
Expected results :
- This drop-down menu list all participants, weather or not they belong to a group(s), weather the cours is in "visible groups" or "separate groups".
Thanks by advance,
Regards,
Marina
