MOODLE_500_STABLE
This improvement have I seen in Wordpress. There you can type a slash to easily add an block to the webpage.
Within Moodle, I think that we can do something similar. And this improvement is an alternative for the activity chooser.
If a course developer wants to add an activity or resource, this are the steps:
- Turn editing on (or use a hot key)
- Click on icon to type text (extra icon beside the icon 'Add an activity or resource'
- Type / and start typing the name of the activity or resource
- when typing a dropdown list appears to show the activities and resource thats match the letters you wrote
- click on the activity or resource to add this module or when there is one module left, press enter
