The Wikimedia repository allows users to access Creative Commons media hosted in the public WikiMedia site.  This repository covers all types of content including a considerable volume of explicit adult content and other material not suitable for minors.  This poses legal issues in many parts of the world and the majority of users are probably not aware of this possiblity.  That said in many HE setting access to this content may be appropriate.

After discussion it has been decided that this repository should be disabled by default for new installs.  This leaves the functionality available for those users who require it but minimising the risk overall.
