Team Hedgehog 2024 Sprint 3.2, Team Hedgehog 2024 Sprint 3.3
In Moodle 4.3.5+ (my tested version is the 19 July weekly) the TinyMCE HTML editor does not load at all into text areas for Descriptions of Files and URL's. I'm left with the plain text editor only. Interestingly, Folders descriptions load OK.
I receive no debugging messages. Switching back to Atto works OK.
Update 2024-08-02: The problem also concerns the Quiz settings, and several editing areas in some question types :
- "Overall feedback" fields in Quiz settings
- Feedback areas for answers in several question types: Simple calculated, Short answer, Multiple choice. (Interestingly, TinyMCE loads OK into feedback areas for Calculated multichoice questions)
- Hint areas in Multiple tries sections of most questions types
- Combined feedback text areas in questions that support them (e.g. Multiple choice)
- Choices text when editing Multiple choice questions
- Question 1, 2 etc, text areas in Matching questions
I have tested at least some of the above in Modle 4.4.1 (Moodle Cloud), and the said problems do NOT occur there.
I suspect some other code involved there - could the HEIGHT size of those text areas be responsible? I also spotted that Moodle 4.4.1 uses TinyMCE v.7 rather than v.6.
I hope that at least some workaround can be suggested here to make TinyMCE work like it should in Mooddle 4.3 as well.
I am posting some miscellaneous screenshots.
