I am currently facing an issue with editing a recurring event series in Moodle. The series contains 102 events, out of which more than half have already been completed. When attempting to edit all future events in the series, I noticed that the changes also affect all the previous events in the series.

In platforms like Google Calendar, there is an option "This and following events" when editing recurring events. This feature is incredibly useful as it allows users to modify only the future instances of the event without altering the past occurrences.

It would be highly beneficial if Moodle could implement a similar feature. Providing an option to edit only future events in a recurring series would greatly enhance the user experience and prevent unintended modifications to past events.
