The correct answer output for matching type questions displays as a large contiguous paragraph of this -> that, these -> those, etc matching pairs and I can't find a way to change the display option.

For our use case, it would be better if these were each on their own line but it seems that's not best for all use cases. This formatting subject has a history,

• 2011: MDL-28979 - Newlines to comma separated display
• 2015: MDL-49920 - Multiple choice type - Individual imported questions as a student & got a similar unexpected comma-separated result, if I understood the issue's description correctly
• 2015: MDL-50028 - Newlines seemed to be in use again
• 2020: MDL-69012 - Multiple choice type - RTL & issues with commas to newlines

It seems either the display type may have changed a few times over the last decade+ , or there's some way to configure it that I haven't found yet. I'm not sure if these are all of the issues related to this.

If there isn't one already, would it be possible to add some sort of review mode display option configuration in the question setup page to let the user decide if matching answer review options should be separated by commas or newlines?
