MOODLE_404_STABLE
These are barbararamiro's suggestions for enhancing the usability of the new feature originally implemented in MDL-74610:
Here's the prototype and a summary of the UX recommendations:
- Modal for Creating and Viewing Grade Items: Teachers can create and view grade items within a modal window. This makes it easier for teachers to manage grade items without navigating to a separate page. Additionally, the modal includes a zero state that provides guidance and information about the feature when no grade items have been created yet.
- Access via Advanced Grading Button: Grade items can be accessed from the advanced grading button located next to the maximum grade field. This ensures that the functionality is easily discoverable and accessible to teachers when they need it.
- Efficient Assignment of Grade Items: By integrating grade item assignment directly within the questions table on the questions page, teachers can assign grade items to questions more efficiently. This eliminates the need to navigate to a separate page for assigning grade items, saving time and effort.
- Dynamic Table Updates: When a named grade item is added and saved, a corresponding grade item column is dynamically added to the questions table. This provides teachers with immediate feedback and visibility into the grading structure of their assessments.
The goal is to enhance the user experience by simplifying the process of creating, viewing, and assigning grade items.
