MOODLE_402_STABLE, MOODLE_403_STABLE
Hi!
Steps:
- Turn on Unlimited grades at the site level
- description text reads: By default, grades are limited by the maximum and minimum values of the grade item. Enabling this setting removes this limit, and allows grades of over 100% to be entered directly in the gradebook.
- Create a test course with a test user
- Create a manual grade item in the gradebook with a maximum value of 10.00
- Enter a value over 10 but less than the site-defined grade maximum (default 100). Click save
Expected behavior:
- The grade is saved in the gradebook
Actual Behavior:
- A message pops up saying the value cannot be greater than 10 and the change will not save
- The only way to make the gradebook take the grade (that I've found):
- Go the Grader Report, click the ellipses to the right of the item, click edit grade, and enter the grade on that page, then save. The grade then shows up in the gradebook as the grade entered.
- Note that doing to above with unlimited grades turned off makes the grade automatically become the max grade when an excess grade is saved.
Further notes:
- In 4.1 and older, this could be fixed by turning on the setting grade_report_enableajax, but this setting was removed in 4.2.
Thanks for taking a look!
