Random questions restored from 3.9 backup shows error in the edit quiz screen

      When a quiz activity with random question is restored from 3.9 backup, the edit question screen shows an error and it couldn't be edited.

      Undefined array key "filter"
      		 
      $toform->category = $filterconditions['filter']['category']['values'][0];

       
      It looks there is no "$filterconditions['filter']['category']['values']" set for restored record.
