Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a section containing one activity.
3. Hide the entire section from students (which automatically hides the activity within).
4. Change the status of the activity to 'Available but not shown on course page'.
5. Show the section.

The problem arises when the activity, which was updated to 'Available but not shown on course page' while the section was hidden, reverts to its original state once the section is shown again.

It is crucial that changes in availability settings made while a section is hidden remain intact when the section is shown again.
