When questions with long question names are added to a quiz, the view is cropped with 100% zoom factor (tested with a 27 inch monitor). This behaviour cannot be observed when the zoom factor is above 100%. For usability reasons, it would be very useful for teachers if the preview-symbol of the questions is always visible and it is not necessary to scroll to the right.
Testing instructions:
- Change the zoom factor of your browser to 100%.
- Add a quiz to a course in the Moodle Sandbox (version 4.3) as a teacher.
- Create a new question (e.g. "Essay") in the question bank and enter at least 45 characters in the question name. Save the changes and return to the quiz.
- Now click on "Add question > Add > +from the question bank" and add the new question from the question bank to the quiz.
- In the new window the right side is cropped. If you want to see the preview-symbol of the question you have to scroll to the right (see screenshot 1).
- Now change the zoom factor of your browser to 110% or above. Now you don't have to scroll if you want to see the preview-symbol of the question (see screenshot 2).
Since our teachers use long question names to manage the questions, it would be very helpful for usability reasons if the preview symbol is always displayed and can be accessed easily without scrolling.
