The Site Administrator has created a course and added a Resource Folder which has files for the student to download.

However the student does not see that resource folder in the course.

Whereas the site administrator can see the resource Folder,

What is the setting in Moodle to allow the student to see the resource folder?

However if a Resource File is added to the Course the student can see and download the resource file.

If I edit the course and edit the Folder Permissions then I found an issue in the course folder permissions under

Activity Folder

View folder content 

Permissions where granted to Authenticated User and Guest
when I added Student to the Permissions for View Folder Content 

Then the Student could see the folder contents,

It seems that the Student is not picking up Authenticated User permissions,

Can someone suggest how I can fix the system so that the Student gets the Authenticated User permissions?

In the meantime I have gone into

Site Administration

User

Define Roles

Student

Search for Activity Folder and View folder content and ticked Allow
