A way to 'group' assignments, etc into weighted categoies. eg. our board requires that all assignments fall into one of 4 categories, thinking, knowledge, communication, or application and each course weighs these categories according to guidelines (ie. communication 20%, application 35%, etc.)

Flexible, variable weighted categories (even sub-categories) would fill out the grading system, allowing school systems that are more 'numbers' based to utilize this great tool to its fullest...
