Dear developers,
it‘s very nice to see that Moodle will use MFA as a core feature.

I am a maintainer of the german language packs and I just translated all new strings. Now I am trying the new features in my test platform. I found the text for the usage of an authenticator app. You are linking to Twilio Authy, Microsoft Authenticator and Google Authenticator … all three apps are not open source.

We should get the open source spirit of Moodle also Into the MFA. There is open source also for the authenticator app. Please look at the 2FAS authenticator and the FreeOTP authenticator … both are open source.
