We have a fairly common use case where a client has say 80% of one type of user and 20% of another type of user and they are almost always split by auth type. And the two types of users need different data fields. It would be advantageous if in the 'Common course custom fields settings' section of each field you could specify if the field was dependent on auth type and if so which ones it would not apply to. If nothing set then it is added to them all.
