      Obtaining registration keys

      1. Head into Site administration > Plugins > Admin tools > Accessibility > Brickfield registration to register the toolkit.
      2. Click the link to register at the Brickfield Portal.
      3. You should see the login page with a Sign up link at the top, click this.
      4. Fill out the sign up form, the details do not matter too much, and hit register.
      5. You should now be on the sites page, click new
      6. The URL on the form should match your moodle site. The site can be a local site if you like, however be mindful of the port number as the url registered must be unique. So if localhost:8000 is already taken, you might use a different port number.
      7. Hit register site.
      8. You should now see a table containing your site info with the api key and secret key.

      Before patch

      1. Copy keys into your moodle site on the brickfield registration page (Site administration > Plugins > Admin tools > Accessibility > Brickfield registration).
      2. Press activate on this page.
      3. You should see the message 'Your accessibility toolkit is functional while being validated.'

      After patch

      1. If you have keys set already from testing before the patch, remove the keys from the brickfield registration page and press activate once more. This will set the keys as blank and declare the code is incorrect and the plugin is not activated.
      2. Now copy keys once more into your moodle site on the brickfield registration page (Site administration > Plugins > Admin tools > Accessibility > Brickfield registration).
      3. Press activate on this page.
      4. You should see the message 'The plugin is activated and ready to use.' in a green alert box.

Currently, when a user clicks the "Activate" button on the Brickfield registration page, the activate action is queued up for the cron to handle. This was done originally to ensure that sites without direct access to the internet on their LMS servers, but with internet access on their cron servers would successfully activate. Since many Moodle servers do have direct internet access, update the function to try to activate the registration immediately, and if unsuccessful, queue it in the cron. This will alleviate one of the common problems users complain about, when the activation doesn't happen immediately.
