Tiny MCE pollutes error log with debugging messages (Moodle 4.2)

      Setup

      1. Ensure you are using a compatible version of PHP for Moodle 4.1, 4.2 and Stable (PHP 8.1 recommended)
      2. Add/edit this line to your config.php  

        $CFG->debug = (E_ALL | E_STRICT);

      3. Monitor your server error log.

      MacOS users can use:

      tail -f /opt/homebrew/var/log/httpd/error_log

      Linux users can use:

      tail -f /var/log/apache2/error_log

       

      Testing

      1. Click on your user icon (top-right) and choose Profile
      2. Click on Edit profile
      3. As the page loads, pay attention to your server error log.
      4. CONFIRM that no errors or warnings are being logged for: 

      Undefined property: editor_tiny\\loader::$component 

      Perform the test for Moodle 4.1, 4.2 and Stable

      I have this endless trace of debugging messages in error log. I can see that this will be addressed in MD-77340 but it is not an improvement, it is an actual bug, maybe we can do it faster?
