      Hi all,

      I am running a Moodle training course for an organisation and I have noticed that the different Availability settings in our activities make things really complicated for new educators.

      For example:

      Assignments use : Allow submissions from, Due date, Cut-off date, Remind me to grade by;

      Forums use : Due date, Cut-off date;

      Quizzes* use : Open the quiz,  Close the quiz;

      Course settings use: Course start date, Course due date;

      I can't describe how messy things are and how many mistakes I see when trainers need to end the course at a date and forbit further contribution to activities two weeks later.

      See, the organisation's rule for the course participation is: Course has an official end date, but participants are allowed to finalise the course two weeks after the course end date, while they will maintain access to the course for a couple years I think.

      It would  have been really helpful if all the date sections were named the same "Availability" for example, and all the activities including the course settings had:

      Start date

      Due date

      Cut-off date

      I know the request is quite generic, but I wasn't sure how to make this suggestion.

      :}

      • Note that "Availability" section in Quizzes is called "Timing".
