Moodle tracks activity completion. However, for External Tool, the process is not automated and activities have to be manually marked as done.

LTI Advantage score reporting includes a completing status. When a score object is received with either the status of completed or submitted, the associated activity should automatically marked as Done.

AC:

• As a student, when I complete my external activity, the activity is marked as automatically marked as done.
• As an instructor, I do not need to rely on students clicking Mark as Done to track completion.

Note:

This approach only works for graded activities. External Tool Link that are not set as graded have no way to return progress in the current state of the LTI specification.
