Currently by extending core\plugininfo\base in almost any plugin we get the status of the later in plugin overview (cf: https://github.com/moodle/moodle/blob/master/admin/renderer.php#L1839), this call will never be hit as mod_assignment would for example. That even by extending core\plugininfo\local. It would be good to be able to disable those and have the status showing in admin/plugins.php, by maybe extending base or local.
