Within Moodle, when viewing the "View all submissions" page of an assignment it is possible to filter participants with first/last names starting with a specific letter.

It has been observed that this filter is applied to other areas within the assignment without informing the grader. Graders at a glance, whilst grading should be able to see that they are viewing a subset of learners when the initials bar is not in its' default state (All, All)

This would reduce potential confusion in cases where no learners match a given configuration of the initials bar.
