Log in as admin Navigate to Courses > Manage courses and categories in site administration Create the following Course categories structure: Category 1 |- Category 2 (_Child of Category 1_) |- Category 3 (_Child of Category 2_) Create one course in each category Navigate to Reports in user menu Create new report from Courses report source Open Conditions in report editor Confirm Select category condition is present Confirm it's value is No selection Select Category 2 Press Apply Confirm only Category 2 is shown in report Modify condition to enable View all subcategories Press Apply Confirm both Category 2 and Category 3 are shown in report Add Category name condition to report Set Course category > Category name to Contains: 2 Press Apply Confirm only Category 2 is shown in report
